Discover the People Of Japan

Today's video post is brought to you by the Japanese Tourism Agency.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Visit Japan project, the Japanese Tourism Agency have launched the new Visit Japan site for potential visitors to explore the culture of Japan. The portal features over 160 videos offering insight into both the most popular but also lesser known sights and attractions across Japan.

The Japanese Tourism Agency sought to represent the core values of Japan as a nation in this campaign. They hope visitors to Japan will experience the unique, enigmatic character of the Japanese, encounter Japanese creations and ultimately enjoy the simple pleasures of Japanese lifestyle. Therefore instead of focusing on the many incredible sights of Japan the video features many people preparing for, and partaking in the famous ‘Awa Dance’ – the Japanese equivalent of Rio’s Carnival.

I loved my visit to Japan in 2011! Started in Tokyo, then Kyoto, and then wound up in the small town of Gifu, where I got a real taste of local culture! Would love to visit again someday:-)

Thank you for working with Straigh To The Point.
