Win a 5 Night Stay in Budapest: Passports With Purpose 2011

*Please note that this prize was available for the 2011 Passports With Purpose Fundraiser, which is now over. For a chance to win an amazing prize in this year’s fundraiser, please visit Passports With Purpose.*

Earlier this year John and I spent a wonderful week exploring Budapest and had the pleasure of staying at the Town Hall Apartments during our entire time there. It was our first visit to Hungary and we quickly realized we should have gone sooner. The city is beautiful, historic and very affordable while still unspoilt by tourism the way some other European capitals have been.

We’re delighted to announce that the Town Hall Apartments has generously donated an awesome prize to Passports With Purpose this year and the lucky winner will be exploring Budapest with five nights accommodation for up to four people.

Budapest  looks simply spectacular at night!

What is Passports With Purpose?

The travel bloggers’ fundraiser is now in its fourth year and to date has accomplished some amazing things: building a school in Cambodia, an entire village in South India and raising over $7,000 for Heifer International back in 2008. This year, through a partnership with Room to Read, the goal is to raise $80,000 to promote childhood literacy by building two libraries in Zambia. We know this can be achieved with everyone doing their little bit.

More About the Prize: “Be our guest in Town Hall Apartments Budapest!”

A $10 donation will allow you to put your name in the draw to win one of the awesome prizes our fellow bloggers have pulled together for this year. For every $10 donation, you get to nominate one prize to win (or put it all into one prize should you wish – every $10 gives you another chance).

Our awesome sponsor, Europe Net Hotels, have offered up our prize this year. If you win, you’ll receive the following:

  • up to 5 nights accommodation, for up to 4 persons at the Town Hall Apartments Budapest
  • airport transfer services or a parking spot at the apartment’s garage
  • a sightseeing tour of Budapest via “hop on-hop off” bus – a great way to see the city

You can use this prize anytime in 2012 as long as you contact Town Hall’s friendly staff in advance to secure your reservation ahead of time. The only time you can’t use the prize is over the New Year’s Eve, Grand Prix Formula 1, Easter or Sziget festival periods.

Having stayed at the apartments we can tell you that this is a fantastic prize. They are spacious, clean, modern and have awesome amenities like a fully-equipped kitchen, wi-fi internet, balconies and a perfect location in the centre of the city. If you want to know more about the apartments and see some photos, check out our review from earlier this year.

Why You Should Donate

In short, this is a very worthwhile cause. Your donation is tax-deductible and all the money goes to Room to Read. If you aren’t interested in our Budapest prize, you can choose from many other awesome prizes. It’s easy and fun to make a difference through Passports With Purpose.
